The Pencil Project

During the month of April, funds from our weekly Friday 7:30pm Modo Karma classes go directly to support The Pencil Project, a volunteer initiative to collect school supplies for the Association of New Canadians. Their goal is to help foster educational opportunities for newcomer students and ensure they have the necessary tools to succeed.

Minis & Kids Yoga
Sundays at 12pm: Mar 10 - Apr 21*$120
Registration is open for the upcoming Minis (ages 3-6) & Kids (ages 7-11) Yoga Series starting Sunday, March 10 with Melissa Johnson. Little yogis are introduced to and explore the concepts and benefits of yoga and mindfulness through yoga postures, breathing, relaxation and visualization techniques, playing games, and art activities. Classes are 60 min and held in our non-heated Dharma Room. Corresponding classes happen at the same time in our Hot Room for parents to attend.
Upon purchasing the series, register your child in the appropriate time slot as your guest for each week of the series. You will have to assign an email to your child, different than the one associated to your own account (it is ok if this email is made up!). Please email us if you have any questions about registration.

Minis Yoga: Sundays at 10am – FULL
Kids Yoga: Sundays at 12pm (option for drop in – email to inquire)

Modo Moves 30 Day Challenge
April 1 - 30$20 | $170
Tap into that feel-good energy of the sun and revitalize our sleepy winter bodies by kicking off this season with a community wide 30-day challenge that prioritizes daily movement.
Each day in April, you’re encouraged to move your body in a way that feels good to you, whether it’s right here in the studio, or by taking a walk or hike, going for a run or bike ride, or having your own little kitchen dance party! However you choose to move, you earn a sticker on the studio challenge board for each day that you mindfully move your body.
Join the challenge for:
– unlimited in-studio classes for the month of April

– a special challengers only Hike & Boil Up in Freshwater Bay (details TBA)

Arm Balance Workshop
Sunday, April 28 at 2:00pm$35*
Join visiting teacher Katarina Wittkamp for this fun, challenging and playful workshop covering five common arm balances (crow pose, side crow, 8-angle pose, firefly and forearm stand). With time for a slow breakdown of each shape into its key actions, transitions and 1:1 support, you’ll be empowered to take flight and feel confident in these tricky (but fun!) shapes. Suitable for all levels.

WORKSHOP OR SPECIALITY SERIES CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
- We require at least 24 hours in advance of the workshop or specialty series class series if you cannot attend in order to receive a credit on your account for the value of that missed class/workshop.
- If you provide less than 24 hours notice or you no-show, no credit is given and you forfeit the fee.
- No refunds, no exceptions.
- If an emergency or something reasonable beyond your control happens to prevent you from attending class, please email or phone to let us know.
- Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class time. If you arrive less than 5 minutes before the class you are considered late and may not be permitted.
